Couldn't put it down!!!, September 25, 2011
By: Liz Velez: Dallastown, PA USA
I may be only able to give this a 5 star rating here, but in my heart it was a definite 10! Couldn't put it down, but when I was eventually forced to I couldn't get it out of my head. Fell totally head over heels in love with Dylan only 1/4 way into the book. AN ABSOLUTE MUST READ! Bravo to Mrs. Badillo for thinking out of her "box".
Does Dylan give up? No way!
Gently and patiently, he persues a connection with Julia. Heck, they were best friends. Julia feels the connection with Dylan but wants it to be only sex...hot steamy sex. All I can say is once you pick it up, you'll quickly read it to the end. Enjoy!
Flesh Wounds is a terrific book!,
Francine Infortunio I loved this book. Dylan Banks is a warm, strong, sexy guy who has loved Julia for years. Julia was hurt and abandoned by her father and she has commitment issues.Does Dylan give up? No way!

Lady Raven Rave "Romance Novel Junkies" (New York) -
Raven lives with a coven/family of 5 including herself. They are harmless vampire that are not the murderous kind. Raven is still hung up on her ex for the past 30 yrs and is not really into dating anyone until she meets Thorne. Thorne is a vampire hunter who wants revenge for the past 11 yrs for his father's death. He isn't really interested in hunting all vampires, just a particular vampire.
The hunter and the vampire needs to co exist while having a strong attraction with each other to find the vampire who killed Thorne's dad. Even though these two are working together, in the beginning Thorne captured Raven as bait when he discovered she was a vampire. But later had to escape with her so his family did not kill her.
Nice read for me surely will try more books from the author and hope to read more from the series.
An enjoyable read

Thorne Abbott is out for revenge, he has been searching for the Vampire who murdered his father when he was a teen, his quest for retribution and peace is all he has wanted until he comes across Raven in a bar; everything he has known about vampires is about to change.
The ways vampires are portrayed in The Beginning are certainly not the typical cliché; they blend in with humanity and seem to have a tender, more caring side. It was nice reading about them in a lighter more down-to-earth sense; the humans seemed to be the more brutal of them.
Raven and Thorne couldn't have been more different! He was the hunter, she the hunted but they formed a trust and a bond that aided them in working together to find out who was responsible for the death of his father, he had believed what he had been told from a close relative while Raven believed the scenario he had painted couldn't be at all true.
I enjoyed watching them seek the truth and eventual resolution.
I liked the main protagonists, Thorne wasn't the Alpha I tend to love but he was strong and determined, I loved Raven for her loyalty, trust and witty banter. They were a great couple and complimented one another well.
The secondary characters were well placed and though out, I look forward to learning more about them in future books, especially poor Jacobe who was sweet and endearing; I'd love to read more of his back-story.
This book was enjoyable, the story had a nice pace, some interesting twists and turns and I enjoyed Robin's writing style, the dialogue was fun and witty.
I look forward to reading the next installment in this series, The Betrayal.
Definitely Recommend,

The storyline flowed well, and even though I kind of guessed the 'who done it' moment it still was a shock at the very end. I am definitely interested in where the story will continue on into the sequel.
I read this in one setting and I would definitely recommend to all you vamp lovers out there. I can't wait to read the sequel, The Betrayal.

A NIGHT OWL REVIEWS BOOK REVIEW
I found THE RETURN to be an engrossing read. What I liked about it is the intertwining histories, pasts, present, flourishing relationships, enmity, and, well, jealousy (warranted and unwarranted) between the characters.
I also liked the twists and turns provided within the plot. Those twists and turns also helped, at least in my opinion, to highlight the different personalities involved.

Refreshing new spin on the myth,
By: Jody
It's not often that you find a book SO good, you don't want it to end. 'Retribution' is an awesome tale of a young woman's life as a vampire. The characters are realistic and unforgettable. Her leading man would have a hard time finding an un-willing victim. He's not only gorgeous, but loves his lady the way we've all dreamed of being loved. Her heroine takes you in and wraps herself around you by the second paragraph. Robin Badillo has an amazing imagination. Her love scenes are refreshingly mesmerizing and tastefully erotic. Thank God this is only the first in a series... I need more!

Even better

It just keeps getting better! More new characters to fall in love with, a great adventure, and a lot of action. Too bad this is the last of this series...I could continue to read about these characters for a long time. Anxiously awaiting the next series due out in March!
